1:1 COACHING FOR YOUNG MEN
YOU DON’T HAVE TO HAVE YOUR LIFE FIGURED OUT.
But it’s time to start figuring out what comes next.
Being a young man today comes with a lot of questions. College? Career? Relationships? Money? Independence? Confidence? What’s next? You don’t need someone else telling you exactly how to live your life. You need a place to get honest about where you are, figure out where you want to go, and start taking responsibility for getting there. I work primarily with young men ages 16–25 who want more direction, confidence, discipline, accountability, and purpose in their lives.
FEELING STUCK?
YOU’RE NOT SUPPOSED TO KNOW EVERYTHING YET.
But there is a difference between not knowing what’s next and doing nothing about it.
Maybe you’re:
Unsure what you want to do with your life
Struggling to stay motivated
Starting things but not following through
Questioning your confidence
Having trouble with school or college
Trying to figure out a career
Struggling with relationships
Spending too much time gaming, scrolling, or avoiding things
Having trouble building consistent habits
Still relying heavily on your parents
Feeling behind compared with everyone else
Simply knowing you’re capable of more
You don’t need to solve everything at once.
You need to start moving.
WHAT COACHING IS
I’M NOT HERE TO RUN YOUR LIFE.
I’m here to help you start running it.
I’m not your parent. I’m not your teacher. And I’m not interested in giving you another lecture. My job is to listen, ask difficult questions, challenge you when you need it, help you see things differently, and hold you accountable for the things you say you want. We’ll figure out what’s actually going on. We’ll decide what you want to work on. We’ll create a plan. Then I’ll be in your corner while you do the work.
WHAT DOES COACHING ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE?
Every young man is different, so the coaching is built around the individual. Depending on what’s going on in your life, we may work on:
DIRECTION & PURPOSE
Figuring out what matters to you and where you want your life to go.
CONFIDENCE
Building confidence through action, competence, and keeping commitments to yourself.
DISCIPLINE & HABITS
Creating routines and learning to follow through even when you don’t feel motivated.
SCHOOL & COLLEGE
Navigating academics, decisions, priorities, independence, and what’s next.
CAREER & WORK
Exploring career paths, building professional habits, and taking the first steps toward independence.
RELATIONSHIPS & COMMUNICATION
Learning to communicate better and build healthier relationships with family, friends, coworkers, and others.
HEALTH & ROUTINES
Building better habits around movement, sleep, daily structure, and taking care of yourself.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Doing what you said you were going to do — and learning from the times you don’t.
INDEPENDENCE
Taking greater ownership of your decisions, responsibilities, finances, schedule, and future.
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
Learning that you can’t control everything that happens to you, but you can control what you do next.
These are coaching areas, not promises of specific outcomes.
12-WEEK 1:1 COACHING
LET’S BUILD SOME MOMENTUM.
Real change usually doesn’t happen because of one great conversation.
It happens when you decide what you want, take action, learn from what happens, and keep showing up.
That’s why my 1:1 coaching begins with a 12-week commitment.
YOUR 12 WEEKS INCLUDE:
12 private 45-minute coaching sessions with Kevin
Initial assessment and goal-setting
Individual coaching plan
Clear weekly commitments
Accountability between sessions
Between-session check-ins
Progress reviews throughout the 12 weeks
Final progress review and next-step plan
INVESTMENT
$2,100
12 weeks of private 1:1 coaching.
Let’s talk first. We’ll discuss what’s going on, what you want to work on, and whether coaching together makes sense.
FOR PARENTS
YOU KNOW YOUR SON IS CAPABLE.
But something isn’t clicking.
Maybe he doesn’t know what direction he wants to take.
Maybe his confidence has taken a hit.
Maybe he’s struggling with motivation, discipline, college, work, relationships, independence, or figuring out what’s next.
You’ve probably tried helping.
You’ve encouraged him.
You’ve pushed him.
Maybe you’ve backed off.
And sometimes you’ve wondered:
“What else am I supposed to do?”
Sometimes a young man needs another trusted adult in his corner.
Someone who isn’t Mom or Dad.
Someone who will listen to him without immediately judging him — but who also isn’t afraid to challenge him.
That’s where I can help.
I DON’T FIX YOUNG MEN. I COACH THEM.
If you’re looking for someone who will force your son to change, I’m probably not the right person. Coaching requires participation. You can open the door for your son. You can pay for coaching. You can encourage him to take advantage of the opportunity. But ultimately, he has to be willing to walk through the door. That’s actually part of the work. My goal isn’t to create a young man who depends on Kevin Blackburn. My goal is to help him become more capable of making decisions, solving problems, keeping commitments, communicating, and taking responsibility for his own life.
WHY WORK WITH KEVIN?
I’VE SPENT DECADES WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE.
I didn’t become a coach because I took an online course and decided coaching sounded interesting. Working with young people has been part of my life for decades. My background includes working as a:
Juvenile probation officer
Truancy officer
Mentor to high-risk youth
Youth coach
Leader of youth programs
Father
Coach and mentor to young men
I’ve worked with young people who were thriving. I’ve worked with young people who were struggling. And I’ve raised two kids of my own. One thing I’ve learned: Young people usually don’t need another adult talking at them. They need adults willing to listen to them, challenge them, believe in what they’re capable of, and expect them to take responsibility for their choices.
That’s how I approach coaching.
REAL PEOPLE. REAL PROGRESS.

FAQ
-
I primarily coach young men between the ages of 16 and 25. I also coach adult men and fathers through separate coaching paths.
-
Yes.
A young man doesn’t need to have everything figured out or even know exactly what he wants to change. That’s part of what we can work through.
But he does need to be willing to participate.
If the only person who wants him to be coached is his parent, coaching probably won’t be effective.
-
Yes.
A parent can schedule an initial conversation with me to explain what’s going on and determine whether coaching might be appropriate.
Before coaching begins, I also want to talk directly with the young man.
-
No.
Coaching focuses on goals, decisions, habits, accountability, personal growth, and moving forward.
It is not a substitute for therapy, mental-health treatment, medical care, or crisis services.
If I believe someone’s needs fall outside the appropriate scope of coaching, I will say so and recommend that the family seek an appropriately qualified professional.
